    Respected Sir,
    I wish to bring to your kind attention certain issues that I have been facing with my house construction team.
    I had engaged Mr Babu residing at Karikalambakkam (Mobile No.9944542902)as the contractor for the house construction since September 2008 with an agreement to carry out the works (labor only) and the materials would be provided by me. Mr Babu has been carrying out the constructions in various stages and has been duly paid according to the progress of works. Mr Babu had agreed to complete the works and handover the house on 1 November 2009. I had accordingly planned a visit to India. When I visited India in December 2009 and noticed that the works have not been completed as discussed and promised. On questioning the status of works and handover Mr Babu started giving excuses and promised to meet in 4 days time. I was trying to contact him on his mobile he was not responding to my phone calls. Eventually Mr. Babu turned up one day and gave me an excuse that he is not able to arrange labor to complete the construction works. I provided an alternative to this problem by offering to arrange for the labor in order to complete the works. Mr. Babu agreed to this condition but eventually tried to intimidate the workers whom I was planning to engage for completion of the construction. I was informed on this by one of the person whom I wanted to work on the construction. Upon checking with Mr. Babu on this issue he asked me to settle the pending dues before engaging other workers for the construction. Eventually Mr. Babu also agreed to complete the construction works within 15 days and also demanded an additional Rs15, 000/- for interior works for which I agreed on 6 December 2009.
    When I followed up on the status of completion of the works after 15 days I have been informed by my wife that there has been no progress. I have been also informed that Mr. Babu is harassing my wife and family in this regard without allowing us to continue the work. On checking with Mr. Babu on the delay he demanded for more money which I refused to pay. It has been 45 days now since our last discussion there has been no appropriate response from Mr. Babu and whenever I talk to him in this regard he has been threatening to stop us from engaging any other workers to do the work and has also said that he will not let us to occupy the house upon completion.
    Additionally I had come to India in November 2009 with an intention to settle all dues to Mr. Babu on completion of the construction works but as he had not completed the works and also not responded to my calls I am unable to settle his dues. I am only able to settle all dues during my next visit to India this year upon successful l completion of works to my entire satisfaction.
    I also wish to inform you that Mr Babu is not a qualified and registered construction contractor in Pondicherry.
    In this regard I request you to take suitable strong action against Mr. Babu and also settle this issue amicably as all of this above actions has created a lot of mental stress to me and my family. I also request you to be allowing me to engage other workers to complete the house construction.

    Default IFB Microwave Oven regarding

    Dear Sir,

    I bought an IFB microwave oven model 20SC2 in jan, 2008. It had a 1 year warranty cover. Since last november, the electronic panel stopped working. I registered a complaint with IFB customer care on Dec 4th 2009. There was no proper service provided. After weeks of multiple repeated calls to the customer care/ local pondicherry IFB service fellows/ IFB pondicherry manager/ IFB tamil nadu manager,....... one service engineer visited my residence at pondicherry and told me that the electronic panel has to be sent to chennai for assessment. He told me he will get back in a weeks time after a possible repair/ replacement of the electronic panel. He took the panel along with him. It's been close to 4 long months now. Despite numerous calls to customer care, am just given false assurances saying that i will be attended to in 24 hrs. Nothing has happened so far. I am not even getting a proper reply whether it will be repaired or not. It has caused me lot of inconvenience at home & am really annoyed & frustrated at the callous attitude of IFB services. I stongly feel strict action needs to be taken against them, so that consumers are not harassed the way i am being.
    Am presently residing in pondicherry. Kindly let me know how action can be taken against IFB in this regard. Shall look forward for a reply.

ONE GROUP OF TILES ARE INTENTIONALLY CHANGED BY THEM .TILES VRINDAVAN GREEN NO 319,320,321 RATE Rs.180/- AMOUNT Rs.2,160/- AND THIER STAFF MR.RAMESH ENSURE ME THAT TILES WILL SEND BY PARSEL BUT TILL THE DATE NOT SEND . MY CONSTRUCTION WORK WAS POSTPONED FOR THE SAME. WHEN I DISCUSSED WITH MANGER,INFORMED ME THAT THEY CAN'T DO NOTHING .

    Default instyle furnitures

    Dear sir,
    I purchased a luxury sofa set from the instyle furnitures during a trade fair in chennai on oct 2009 for Rs. 63000. Within 3 months time, the fabric of sofa was badly peeling off and inner layer was exposed at several locations. I kept calling the seller through telephone and they were not responding properly. They demanded Rs. 30000 further for repairing the complete fabric with new one. I was totally disappointed and they were not responding my phone calls thereafter. I have no idea how to resolve this problem. Just yesterday i saw the same sellers at dinamalar expo in pondicherry and selling the same type of sofa. I dont want others getting affected and cheated by that seller. Pls do advise on this issue.

    Default Faulty gas oven from Faber

    Please help, or advise me on what steps to take next; I am a Foreign National from the UK (living and working in Auroville), who bought a gas oven from Faber (model number FH6490DX) last June (2010) from an electrical shop in Puducherry called Vijaya Electricals. I paid Rs25,700 for the oven, which was nearly twice the price of the other gas oven (Sunflame) they had displayed in their shop. My main reason for choosing this oven, was because the owner assured me that Faber was a much better quality and that the 'after sales' and Customer Service/maintenance was excellent.
    However, within a few days after installation, I realised there was something wrong with the oven, as it burnt all the cakes I tried to make for our cafe within 15 minutes.
    I went back to the shop where I had bought the oven and complained, but the owner told me it was not his responsibilty, and that in India, it was the company (and not the retailer), who was at fault. He gave me a number for Faber Customer Services, and advised me to take the complaint up with them. So I called them the following day, and reported the fault, and was promised that Head Office would be informed and that I would hear from them shortly.
    However, no one called back, and I didn't hear from them again. So, I continued to call them on a daily basis, and each time I called, they promised to send a technician around to look at the oven and check the thermostat.
    This went on for several weeks, until finally, I was referred to a Mr Ganesh Kumar, who was the Area Manager for Faber in Chennai/Pune: mob:9841884842. Mr Ganesh Kumar appeared to be very sympathetic and polite on the phone, and assured me that he would not only send a technician around immediately, but that he would also accompany the technician himself, personally.
    This went on for a few more weeks, until finally, in December, 6 months after I had purchased the oven, Mr Ganesh Kumar finally appeared with a technician. After the technician had inspected the oven, Mr Ganesh Kumar informed me that the thermostat was faulty, and that he would arrange for it to be fixed within a couple of weeks.
    At the end of January 2011, Mr Ganesh Kumar sent the same technician around again with a spare part. However, the technician was unable to fix the oven, and he informed me that not only had Mr Ganesh Kumar given him the wrong part, but that he had also ordered him to 'fix' the oven despite it being a factory fault and impossible to repair. (It seems that although the temperature knob says the oven ranges from 160 to 290 degrees celsius – there is no range at all. The oven is either on or off and the temperature is around 300 degrees celsius.)
    Since then, I have tried to contact Mr Ganesh Kumar several times to ask for either my money back, or a replacement model, but he continues to ignore all my calls. I've tried calling the technician, but even he refuses to answer my calls now.
    I've continued to call Faber Customer Services and Vijaya Electricals, and I've written emails to the Faber Export Company, and to their Company's in Italy and the UK, but all to no avail.
    I am getting increasingly anxious now, as the oven's warrenty will expire in June, and I am convinced that this is exactly what the Company intends to let happen. Surely, as a consumer, I have rights, and am entitled to a replacement oven, or my money back? Particularly when it is still under warrenty, and it was faulty when I purchased it?
    Please can you help me?

    used by my mother to reduce weight, but there is no result of using the tablets/capsules, she didnt lose her weight at least 2 kgs, and i returned the empty boxes with the bill receipt 10 months back, but there is no use of using the and returning the boxes, i begged to return my money back for many times, but the france vita natura pvt ltd. are not sending the money since 10 months and no proper responce, they talk rashly, what to do iam getting headache we are poor people that why iam begging since 10 months, its my {part time job} one month salary amount spent for the tablets.

    they are going on extending the time period for 10 days when i call to them, and i have sent a mail on 23 april 2011 by requesting them to send the money and if there is no responce il go to consumer forum. i cant bare this metal torchure.

    I hope the kind officer can do a favour to me. and take necessary action on france vita natura pvt ltd.

    Default Airtel delays to activate porting number

    Dear Sir,
    I am Mohamed Saleem from pondicherry. I have been used mobile number 9442068778 since last 5 years, I liked to change bsnl to airtel for roaming facility. I requested for porting on 24th may, on 28th may 11 o clock bsnl block their service.
    Still (31st may) airtel does not activate my number. Three days passed, still they does not activate my number, both the customer care and airtel store telling me to "wait" "wait" "wait". Still I am offline with my contact number.
    MNP procedure is other network will activate within 2 hours from old network block its service. But the Airtel company delays to activate my number and dont response me. So I would like to make case against airtel for its irresponsible and careless works. How to I make case against them?

    Default IFB Washing machine - Poor service

    Respected sir,

    This is to bring to your kind notice that I booked complain on 18.10.2011 in Mankula Vinayagar IFB Franchie, they attended the problem, (my the problem is machine is vibrating and water leakage) for that they changed my main control board which was working in good condition after the replacement my washing machine is in same problem. So, many times I called them to attend the repair so for my problem is not rectified. So, I make complain the Pondicherry IFB Main office in Saram. I contacted Mr. vinoth I given complain on 24.10.2011, he has sent an engineer name Rajesh, we observed the machine performance and told it may be problem timer and also told that I will bring the spare and replace it. Inspite of so many calls made to Mr. Vinoth he tell within half an hour I will sent the engineer and finish the work but he will not sent the engineer. So for till date my machine problem is not rectified. So, in this regard I kindly request you to take necessary action and rectify my machine problem. The service of IBM washing machine is very poor. Kindly take necessary action in this regard.
